Another Brick On The Shelf

I am on a quest for a new cell phone and I have a question for Verizon Wireless: why bother operating a brick and mortar storefront if you aren't going to carry live demos of your products?

Dog Food, Sleuthing, and Technology

Speed Bump Chronicles
Read about The Case of the Dog Food Mischief and see the video evidence.

An oldie but goody, take another look at Kaitlyn in "I FREAKED OUT". It still cracks me up.

Sean Genovese

I've begun penning my thoughts about the clash between generational differences, human factors, and modern technology. It's a topic I refer to as the Culture of Technology. Part 1 is complete and is divided into seven sections. Read them individually or as a group, the links are below.

Right Back Where We Started From

First Class All The Way
Compared to keeping my two girls occupied in mass for an hour, driving in the car is easy--even for 18 hours. The girls are troopers, especially Alyssa. There were moments of irritability, and there's now a car full of goldfish, peanut butter, and jelly, but Friday was a marathon day of travel, twelve hours on the road. Here's a run down of some other points of interest from the drive out.

The Road Scholars: Reloaded

Nothing says family road trip like standing in the parking lot of a Cavender's Boot Barn in El Paso Texas with your shirt collar pulled up over your nose while you hold your child at arms' length so mommy can take off her shit-laden clothes. That's what happened last time we made this trip. Find out what's in store when we depart later this week, and also how you can track us from theroadscholars.com every poopy mile of the way.

TEDx San Antonio

In October of last year, I had the pleasure of attending TEDx San Antonio. I've been thinking about the presentations ever since--letting them "marinate", if you will. They were all great. I've finally compiled my top three favorites:

  1. Sam Milsap, former District Attorney, presents a compelling argument against the death penalty.
  2. Aaron Delwiche explains how, in this technological era, we are all programmers.
  3. Graham Weston, CEO of Rackspace, explains how Hurricane Katrina helped him create a workplace of inspired employees.

Papalote Creek Wind Farm

Friday I had an opportunity to visit the Papalote Creek Wind Farm near Corpus Christi in South Texas. Owned and operated by E.On Climate & Renewables North America, the farm consists of 196 turbines across an expansive area of cotton and grain farmland. Here's some of the highlights and a few pictures.

Kaitlyn Is Famous...And 3!

A recent project for one of my classes required the production of a YouTube video. The assignment was to create a video to generate awareness of a new--in our case fictional--idea, good, or service. Of course I used all the assets at my disposal. See why Kaitlyn Is Famous.

Tuesday Kaitlyn celebrated her third birthday. Here are some pictures.
